SONDEN sluice covers are rectangular shaped steel construction widely used for level control. Caps come in a wide range of sizes. Covers are designed according to their dimensions and mainly;
01- FRAMEWORK: It is the basis of the system. Weir covers are designed as full casing. The frame is made of mild steel or stainless steel profile.
02 – DOOR: The door is designed with a flat surface and moves in rails that slide up and down. It is made of mild steel or stainless steel material.
03 – GASKET: Rubber gasket is used as a sealing element. Gaskets are applied to 3 sides of weir and channel covers and to 4 sides of wall covers. The standard material for gaskets is EPDM. For different applications, please ask SONDEN about the gasket material.
04 – SPINDLE : SONDEN standard doors are the rising spindle type, but non-rising spindle type doors are also available. Single spindle is used up to approx. 1500 mm wide; For larger widths, the double-shaft model is usually used.
05 – DRIVE UNIT: Doors of all sizes can be supplied with manual or electric/pneumatic actuators.
Stoplogs are widely used in water intake structures, water and wastewater treatment plants to control the flow. Stoplogs are made of steel or stainless steel material as in other types and are resistant to the effects of waste water. Stoplogs can be made in one piece, or they are produced in segments in applications that require more flexible use.
All electric actuators are equipped with manual drive (handwheel) for emergency. Electric actuators should be selected according to the way the covers work. In other words, different actuator types are used for open-close control doors and modulation control doors. Special types of electric actuators are available for explosion-proof applications and applications on construction sites with harsh weather conditions. Manual drive, handwheel for small size caps; means bevel gearbox for oversized caps.
Two bevel gearbox units are used for both manual and automatic double shaft cover applications.
